Residents with Japanese background have increased in the Parramatta area in recent years and given that mutual understanding of other cultures is an important aspect of the multi-cultural society that we live in, the Japan Club of Sydney has been striving to introduce and foster Japanese culture to this community.
The Japan Club of Sydney is a non-profit organisation, aiming to foster friendship and goodwill between Japanese residents and the local community as well as introducing and maintaining Japanese culture while improving mutual understanding with other ethnic groups. They also run Japanese Community Schools at Dundas, Ultimo and the Northern Beaches every Saturday as well as providing educational seminars throughout the year. The Club regularly participates in other ethnic groups’ events and their contributions to society have been awarded by both the NSW and the Japanese governments.
Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity and enjoy the Saturday afternoon on 9 February.
